Being kind, fun and respectful is the name of the dating game 🥰
We obviously know you’re gonna be on your A-game, but we wouldn’t be doing our job if we didn’t mumble the following…
We have a strict policy against poor etiquette of any kind. And by agreeing to this date, you are committing to staying for the entire duration of the date (at least 30 mins), just like you would IRL.
Lastly, please use your best judgment should you wish to continue the date longer than the suggested time frame.
⏰ Right after your date
You will both receive a text message approximately 40 minutes following the start of your date. A feedback form will be waiting for you in your inbox, please complete it right away or as soon as possible 🙂
👗 Dress code
Think ‘party on top’ and PJs on the bottom. Just kidding! Even though you’re probably attending from the comfort of your home, there is a dress code! You should aim to look your best and still treat your video date just like if you were meeting at a cafe or lounge. Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!
📝 Pls don't exchange contact info
Our team will exchange contact information on your behalf if both of you wish to meet again for a second date. This way, you can leave the date on friendly terms whether or not you are interested in seeing your date again.
We kindly ask that you kindly do not ask for their number during the date.
💡 Set-up tips & Troubleshooting
Test out your set-up before your actual date to make sure your mic and speakers are all working well. Experiment with different camera angles, the camera should be level with your face or higher and angled slightly downwards.
When it comes to video dates, lighting is your BFF! If your date is at night time, make sure to choose a room that’s well lit (and also quiet!).
If for any reason you wind up experiencing video issues (freezing, lagging etc), try moving closer to your modem. If that doesn’t work, turning off your video and voice chatting should help. You can always try turning the video back on again after a few mins.
💻 Technical Requirements
In order for you (and your date) to have a seamless video date experience, you must have the following:
- Secure internet connection
- Quiet and well-lit space
