Administrative Matchmaking Assistant (Part-Time)

Our matchmaking division is called VIS-À-VIS. We’re looking for a bright, fun, efficient and intuitive administrative assistant to help with the organizing of blind dates and the various admin tasks involved in the process.
While the position is part-time, the right candidate will want to learn, grow and take on more responsibilities down the road, and will have a strong interest in becoming an integral part of the team for the long-term. We are not looking for someone who sees this as an ‘in-between’ job.

About the position
As our matchmaking assistant, you will be working remotely and assisting our Chief Matchmaker in all and any administrative tasks they may need. You are analytical, intuitive, highly organized and an excellent, bubbly, communicator (both written and spoken). You take pride in your work, from how you can write a captivating email to your attention to detail. You’re happy that all your time will be spent on various administrative tasks such as email and customer service, organizing of and filtering through numerous excel spreadsheets, creating documents, and properly maintaining and updating all the different platforms that we use. You are comfortable asking questions, questioning methods and sharing your creative ideas that could help improve processes and the client experience.
The pay for this position is by the hour and you will be working as an independent contractor. You will need to keep track of your hours with highly-detailed notes and submit an invoice monthly or bi-monthly.
Current platforms and program that we use: Gmail, Active Campaign, Asana, Hey Market, MS Office (or the Mac equivalent), Dropbox, Asana and WordPress. Experience with any of these tools is a definite asset.
To be considered, you must:
- Have your own laptop (in excellent condition)
- Have your own smartphone (in good condition)
- Be able to write captivating and professional emails
- Have excellent communication skills (we love a well-written, enthusiastic email!)
- Be highly organized
- Have experience as an administrative assistant
- Have a flexible schedule (you will be working remotely)
- Be a self-starter who is reliable and hard-working
- Be someone who works with integrity and honesty
- Have excellent time-management skills
- Be someone who is driven by results and can deliver, without being micro-managed
- Be fascinated by the dating industry
- Be funny (ideally!)
