Last year, amidst a global crisis, we brought together hundreds of new couples who are kicking off this new year together with glowing hearts and big smiles.
This year will be even better. Our first event of 2021 is brimming with excitement, hope and positivity! Come enjoy an evening of lively conversations over a series of one-on-one video dates with eligible singles who are SO ready to embrace… a very new beginning!

NEW VIDEO PLATFORM ALERT!
We have exciting news! We have switched over to a new video platform that is sure to enhance your digital dating experience! There’s no software to download (and no more zoom!) – everything is run easily and directly on your internet browser.
Please note: It is highly recommended to use a computer or laptop on this new platform. You can still attend from your phone or tablet using your internet browser app but it will not be an optimal experience. However, an app is coming soon, so the optimal speed dating experience for mobile-only users is just around the corner.
PLAYLIST
Start 2021 off on the right note with the ‘Chillout 2021’ playlist on Spotify! Turn up the tunes before the event and then set the volume to low while you speed date away. Click here to access the playlist directly. Spotify app required.
COCKTAIL
When life gives you lemons, we say, make a Lemon Drop Martini! (details below)
Ingredients:
- 2 ounces quality vodka
- 3/4 ounce Cointreau or Triple Sec
- 1 ounce fresh squeezed lemon
- 3/4 ounce simple syrup
- Ice
- If you fancy, mix together some sugar and lemon zest for the glass rim
Directions: Moisten the rim of a chilled martini glass with the juiced lemon, turn the glass upside down and twist into the lemon sugar, set aside. Next, add vodka, cointreau (or triple sec), lemon juice, simple syrup and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake for 30 seconds or until very cold. Strain into the prepared martini glass and serve immediately.
Not feeling adventurous? Stick to a simple vodka-lemonade.
If you’re sober or doing Dry January: Lemonade on ice in a nice glass will do the trick!
DRESS CODE
Take on the new year in style! Throw on a bright, colourful or funky sweater for this event.
You might be thinking… “I’m attending from home, so I don’t need to dress up.” but it’s just the opposite! Be comfortable and relaxed but remember this is still a dating event so make sure you look great!
Pro Tip: People can tell when you’ve made an effort and, when it comes to dating, that’s important. Looking your best will make you feel your best and therefore, always result in more and/or better matches. Remember, you never get a second chance to make a first impression!

Technical Requirements
In order for you and everyone else to have a seamless digital dating experience, you must have the following:
- Laptop or Computer
- Secure Internet connection
- Quiet and very well-lit room (one lamp won’t cut it!)
- Phone and tablet supported, but not recommended**
**Attending from your phone or tablet is at your discretion. Dashing Date will not be held responsible for a poor digital experience by attending from such a device. An app for the new video platform is coming very soon, so you will be able to attend events easily from your phone or tablet at one of our next events.
We also have a strict policy against poor etiquette. Rude or disruptive behaviour of any kind will result in being removed from the event immediately, and without warning.

Age group: 30-42
Generally, in this Life Stage, you’ll meet other young professionals that are looking for a long term relationship, someone with whom they can explore life with! They are often open to marriage and/or starting a family for the first time. Based on our previous events, you can expect to meet women ages 28-40 and men ages 32-45 in this Life Stage.

How long is the event?
How many people will I meet?
You can expect to meet 7 to 12 pre-screened guests of the opposite sex.
How strict are the age groups?
If you fall outside of the advertised age range but fit the Life Stage, you can still participate. However, if it’s above or below by more than two years, we recommend checking with us first.
